Learner’s Permit - a restricted license that is given to a person who is learning to drive

Driver’s License - a document permitting a person to drive a motor vehicle

Manual Transmission/ Shift - Stick Shift; requires the driver to operate the gear stick and clutch in order to change gears and move faster or slower.

Automatic Transmission/ Shift - a multi-speed transmission used in motor vehicles that does not require any input from the driver to change forward gears under normal driving conditions

Hybrid - a thing made by combining two different elements; a mixture
