The Festival of Lights

Today, we celebrate Diwali, the Hindi festival that symbolizes the victory of light over darkness, and is associated with prosperity, wisdom, and removal of obstacles. It is usually celebrated by lighting the houses with rows of deepa (small clay oil lamps).
